One of the things people consider a highlight of their time at VIDA is hiking up the surrounding hills, perhaps for exercise, or to watch the sunrise while enjoying quiet time with God, or to roast some veggies over a bonfire after dark. The VIDA family also enjoys a good hike, which is a Sabbath tradition for those willing to face the afternoon sun.
We challenge you to a virtual hike. From October 1 - November 1, 2023, the Hike for Honduras annual event gives friends of VIDA Internacional an opportunity to support various efforts, ranging from education or health initiatives, ministry expansion and capital campaigns, to evangelism.

La Montañita
2023 Project
Properties near VIDA are rarely up for sale, so when an adjacent piece of land became available, we jumped at the opportunity. We call it "La Montañita", or the little mountain. At nine hectares, this nearly doubles VIDA's exisiting footprint and creates a healthy barrier as the village of El Suyatal continues to grow, making our campus more peaceful for our students, staff, and guests.
We have several tentative plans for La Montañita, which include the Campos Blancos preschool, housing for lifestyle center guests and staff, a rock climbing wall, hiking trail, gazebo, and more. But first, we need to pay off the property. So let's get ready to hike!
100% of the proceeds VIDA receives for the 2023 Hike for Honduras event will be used to pay off the purchase of our little mountain property. Any funds raised above and beyond the goal will be used towards the construction of staff housing on the property.
