Our History

In the spring of 2005, a young Honduran completed a missionary training course at the European Bible School (EBS) in Norway and felt compelled to start a similar holistic project in his country for the advancement of the gospel through medical missionary work.
Upon returning to Central America, the young man shared his vision of starting a mission project with his father, who then decided to donate a guava plantation property about 90 minutes outside of the capital Tegucigalpa for the mission station in the summer of 2006. El Suyatal, with a population of 5000, is the closest village and approximately a 15 minute walk from VIDA internacional’s mission station.
